Literacy India is working in Purulia Tribal belt in West Bengal & semi urban areas of Metro cities. It caters to tribal groups like Bhumij Sing Sardar, Birhor, Santhal, Mundas etc. These groups either fall in ST or OBC category. The children of these tribal regions are facing challenges of access and affordability. The schools are very far away from villages. The children are thus admitted in hostel based schools. This support will help us to provide school accessories for the tribal child for a year and encourage them to attend school. Text books – Rs. 2,800 Stationeries – Rs. 1,000 Uniform set (Summer uniforms, trousers, shirts, black shoes, tie, belt) – Rs. 1,000 Total Cost – Rs. 4,800
