Donate mid-day meals for a student of Vidyapeeth for a year

3,600

tax benefit: 50%

This fund will help to contribute for regular mid-day meals of the students of Vidyapeeth. Literacy India is running a non-formal school called Literacy India Vidyapeeth affiliated through Haryana Open Board Education where the regular student strength is 1,000+. The students’ parents are basically migrant labourers who are temporarily settled in Gurgaon and the adjacent villages. Parents are finding difficulty in enrolling students in the Govt. school as most of them do not carry children’s birth certificate, ration card, Aadhaar card and other identity proofs approved by the govt. Apart from that migrant labourers cannot follow the Govt. school session time as it depends upon their livelihood opportunities. Vidyapeeth is a project where children can be enrolled all through the season. This fund support will motivate the parents to send their children to school and children will also feel encouraged to be in school with regular mid-day meals. Mid-day meal is Rs. 3,600 p.a, per student and it includes rice, roti, sabji, curry etc for 6 days in a week.
